The mission of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society is to promote the professional development of women in orthopaedics throughout all stages of their careers.
Our goals include providing education, mentorship, sponsorship, and fostering the development of the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons while providing resources and opportunities for our members to maximize their growth professionally and personally.
All RJOS programs and scholarships directly benefit and impact our residents and medical students on their journey to success.
Our extensive network of practice settings, specialty and geographic areas, allow members to choose mentors who best fit their needs.
We believe advancing the future of women in orthopaedics requires strong advocates that foster responsibility and action.
Our shared knowledge includes goal setting advice for your career, leadership skills training, contract negotiation, and much more.
A testimonial from our generous matching donor
“It is a privilege to be able to partner with RJOS to help mitigate the inequities that have long existed in the field of medicine in general, and orthopedic surgery in particular. We are thrilled to be able to help support RJOS in this pursuit. I have had the pleasure to work with several leaders of RJOS, who are among the best and brightest in the field of pediatric orthopedics, and our patients and families deserve to be cared for by more women like them.”
