 Make plans now to join the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society for the 2020 Annual Program of Events in Orlando, Florida. 

 

 RJOS will hold two outstanding events in 2020.  Both events will take place at The Hyatt Regency Orlando Hotel in Orlando, Florida.  

 

The RJOS Annual Meeting/Member Business Meeting (including dinner) will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Orlando Ballroom N at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Hotel.  

This year's topic is Social Media and the Orthopaedic Surgeon: Leveraging Your Online Presence.  During the evening, attendees will hear from three amazing speakers:

Dr. Emily E. Sharpe, an anesthesiologist from The May Clinic will present "Boosting Your Social Media Presence for Professional Benefit" to discuss how social media can be used to amplify and   disseminate research and share knowledge.

 Dr. Monic Payares-Lizano, a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon from Nicklaus Children's Hospital, will discuss how to handle negative reviews on social media. 

 Dr. Sonya Sloan, an orthopaedic surgeon from Houston, Texas will focus on why having a presence in online forums is advantageous for orthopaedic surgeons in private practice. 

 

The RJOS Professional Development Leadership Symposium will be held on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2020, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Plaza Ballroom E at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Hotel.

 Please note:  A separate registration is required for each event.   Medical Students are not eligible to attend the Professional Development Leadership Symposium on Wednesday morning.

 Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing by February 21, 2020 and are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee. 

 

 These are industry supported functions and RJOS is required to provide the names of attendees if they receive in-kind benefits (such as meals) as outlined in the Physician Payment Sunshine Act.
