Dr. Alexandra (Alexe) Page works on topics related to healthcare systems, high value care, and health disparities. Nationally, she chairs the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Health Care Systems Committee and serves as orthopaedic delegation chair for the AMA. She addresses work in cross-specialty solutions to musculoskeletal care as co-chair of the Chronic Osteoarthritis Management Initiative and through national work groups with organizations including the National Academy of Medicine, the OA Action Alliance, and Movement is Life (musculoskeletal care disparities).
Regionally, Dr. Page is a delegate to the California Medical Association and in the presidential line of the California Orthopaedic Association. Locally, she serves on the San Diego County Medical Society (SDCMS) Board of Directors and on the Board of the SDCMS Foundation. Addressing health disparities locally, Dr. Page serves on the steering committee of and provides direct pro bono patient care through Project Access San Diego.
Following an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from M.I.T., Dr Page graduated cum laude from Harvard Medical School. Orthopaedic residency and Foot & Ankle fellowship were completed at the Hospital for Special Surgery. After 16 years in full-time clinical practice with Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Page now combines private practice with consulting.
