The mission of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society is to promote the professional development of women in orthopaedics throughout all stages of their careers. Our goals include providing education, mentorship, sponsorship, and fostering the development of the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons while providing resources and opportunities for our members to maximize their growth professionally and personally.

Shaping the Future of Women in Orthopaedics


To kick off our 40th anniversary, we launched our 40th Anniversary Giving Campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 from our members and supporters! As of December 12, RJOS has reached its campaign goal!!. A generous supporter who matched all funds raised during the campaign will now match up to $100,000! This donor match is an incredible opportunity to double the campaign's impact to sustain our mission, provide more resources for our members, and expand our scholarships.
